Scott Mercado was born on November 11, 1964, in San Francisco, California. He grew up Seattle Washington with his brother. He started playing drums at age 11 and also plays the dulcimer. His musical influences are Neil Peart, Terry Bozzio, Jack DeJohnettea and Jimmy Chamberlin. His hobbies are jogging and motorcycling. Scott left the band in 1997 and was replaced by former Pearl Jam drummer, Dave Krusen.
